Day to day
Your child's day
Our sessions are arranged so that the children can take part in a range of child-chosen and adult-lead activities. The children are also encouraged to take part in small and large group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills.
The afternoon sessions includes time for lunch and all children need to bring their lunch with them. There is an option on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for children to bring lunch and stay an extra hour until 1.00pm. There is a charge of £6.00 (under 3s) or £5.00 (over 3s) for the extra hour. Optional lunch sessions do not need to be booked in advance.
Under normal circumstances at snack time we offer a variety of different foods that are healthy and appropriate to dietary requirements. Some of the foods offered include:
Apple, Orange, Banana, Pear, Grapes, Kiwi, Melon, Pineapple, Carrots, Cucumber, Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Crackers, Bread sticks, Toast, Bread Muffin, Scotch Pancakes, Pitta Bread, Raisins
An example of a snack would be: A piece of apple, a piece of orange, a few raisins and a piece of toast. Children also have a drink of either Milk or Water. Fruit Donations are always welcomed from Parents & Carers; especially unusual Fruits that the children may not have tasted before. There is a donation basket put out at the beginning and end of each session. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, we ask that all children bring a healthy snack with them, along with a named water bottle. We are currently unable to offer our usual snack.
